Sequoia National Park

Also known as A Land of Giants, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park are known for their stunning landscape. They are full of some of nature's most beautiful land features such as huge mountains, rugged foothills, steep canyons, massive caverns, and of course, the world's most towering trees. The parks lie side by side in southern Sierra Nevada east of the San Joaquin Valley. You'll experience an array of weather depending on the season.

Within these parks, you'll experience a spectacular range of plants and animals living in varied conditions. You'll enjoy viewing them as you traverse the steep hills and winding roads. The Wilderness Act of 1964 protects and preserves these environments. The Act was put in place by Lyndon B. Johnson in September of 1964 to make wildlife a national priority and to protect and preserve wild areas throughout the country. The Act has ensured that this environment is mostly untouched by man to maintain its legacy and natural state. But that doesn't mean you can't explore the park. They provide over 800 miles of trails.
