Activities For Your Enjoyment At Giant Forest, in Sequoia Park, is the General Sherman Tree. The largest tree in the world, standing 275 feet high and 103 feet in circumference. The second largest tree in the world, the General Grant Tree, and the Nation's Christmas Tree is located at Grant Grove in Kings Canyon. Both parks provide a hiker's domain of spectacular peaks, canyons, lakes and streams, threaded with a thousand miles of trails. Connecting the two national parks is the Generals Highway, a 46 mile long scenic road from Ash Mountain through Giant Forest to Grant Grove. The highway reaches 7,643 feet at Big Baldy Saddle. This highway and branch roads take you to such attractions as Moro Rock, Crystal Cave, Crescent Meadow, Big Stump Grove and Roaring Fork Falls. You can enjoy Lake Kaweah, only 2 miles from the Plantation, or drive to Mineral King, a peaceful valley beneath the peaks of the Great Western Divide.

Or, just bring your own laptop and use our Wireless Internet access (WI-FI) service in your room or anywhere on the property. Also available in the same common area is a refrigerator and a microwave. There is a Television and VCR in the Parlor, along with over 200 movies for your viewing pleasure. These movies may also be used if you stay in the Mammy or the Aunt Pittypat room, both of which have a TV and VCR. The swimming pool, is open 24 hours a day seasonally, plus the Jacuzzi Hot Tub, always heated and located out in the orange grove for privacy, is open 24 hours all year. So you can wrap up your day in one of our fluffy robes, slip out to the Jacuzzi to soak, unwind and enjoy millions of stars in the peaceful country night.
